Week 6 - What A Fright!

I’ve never really had a scary experience but I have almost been arrested. Me and a few friends were up at my church shooting hoops from about ten to midnight. Eventually we decided we should probably go back home instead of staying there all night. We heard a noise so we went to the foyer and turned on all the lights. All the sudden somebody walks by, one cop car pulled in the side of the parking lot and another into the front. The first guy walks in with his gun and flashlight out and ordered us to all get on the ground with his gun pointing at us. The second guy came in a couple minutes later so the first guy went to check if anyone else was there. He was pretty cool and was joking around with us for a few minutes when a third officer comes in and points his gun at us. That was a little scary because that thing can kill you. Eventually they realized we were just high schoolers and not doing anything wrong so they let us go. They called their back up from Pekin and told him he could slow down because we weren’t doing anything bad.

Week 5 - Living In The Past

If I could live in any time period I would live when Jesus was alive. I think it would be cool to meet him. I think it would be pretty cool to see him work all those miracles. I would like to have been there when he fed thousands of people with just a loaf of bread and a couple of fish. It would suck having to live without heating or air conditioning. I wouldn’t like not having my cell phone or a TV either. Even without all that stuff it would be cool to see how they lived back then since they didn’t have any electronics.
